Project Para

Project Para provides Nebraska para-educators with free, web-based training designed to support their work with students and help schools meet state and federal training requirements, including ESSA Title I, IDEA, and NDE Rule 11 expectations. Hosted in the Nebraska Department of Education's Nebraska Learning Network (NLN), the training includes self-study courses for Title I, Special Education, and Early Childhood para-educators, with modules, assessments, and certificates of completion available to participants.

The ESU Coordinating Council supports Project Para by maintaining the Canvas-based training system and providing help desk and user support. Through this statewide effort, ESUCC and NDE help ensure Nebraska schools have access to consistent, sustainable training resources for para-educators serving students across the state.
